Dr. Somak Krishna Biswas has graduated (MBBS) from RG Kar Medical College in 2006 and completed his M.S.(General Surgery) in 2011 from I.P.G.M.E& R Kolkata, followed by M.Ch Paediatric Surgery from N.R.S. Medical College in 2014.

He has dedicated his expertise to exclusively deal with  Paediatric and Neonatal Surgical problems for last 13 years.

He was Assistant Professor Paediatric Surgery at  NRS Medical College from 2015 to 2018.

He is currently Associate Professor in Paediatric Surgery at Institute of Child Health, Kolkata.

His field of interest includes  Paediatric Minimal Access Surgery [In which he holds a Post Doctoral Fellowship from K.E.M Hospital , Mumbai.(MUHS)] ,Paediatric Urology and Paediatric Thoracic and Thoracoscopic surgeries.

He has more than ten national and international publications in journals with original research work in paediatric choledochal cysts (bile duct malformation).
